Champeau is thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new administrative offices. This state-of-the-art facility, located just off Route 253 in Saint-Malo, Quebec marks a significant milestone in our company’s journey and reinforces our dedication to serving our clients and partners with excellence.
A Natural Evolution
For over a century, Champeau has been committed to providing high-quality hardwood components and lumber. As Pierre Champeau, our President, explains, “This project has been several years in the making and represents a natural progression for us. We’ve always prioritized investments in our operations – from primary sawing to drying and secondary processing. But with our growing team, it was crucial to strengthen our administrative core.”
This new 8,000 square-foot, two-story building is more than just a physical space; it’s a strategic investment in our future and a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence. We’ve designed it to ensure our team has all the necessary infrastructure to continue serving our clients at the highest level.

Previously, our administrative teams were located in separate buildings – the sawmill and the secondary processing plant. This created challenges in communication and collaboration. Our new administrative offices bring everyone together under one roof, fostering a more unified and efficient team.

A Space Reflecting Our Values
We’re proud that this new building reflects Champeau’s commitment to excellence and innovation. We had the opportunity to design the space from the ground up and we wanted to incorporate wood as a central design element throughout the majority of the building. The building is also energy-efficient, utilizing our biomass boiler system (connected to the existing plant) to heat the floors. The new office space includes 25 office spaces, three meeting rooms and a large recreation room.
Investing in the Future
Our commitment to innovation doesn’t stop with our new administrative offices. In 2025, we plan to purchase new equipment for our sawmill, paving the way for even larger and more complex projects. We’re also exploring the potential of artificial intelligence to further automate our processes and increase our productivity.
